Lasting Powers of Attorney

Lasting Powers of Attorney are introduced from 1 October 2007 and replace Enduring Powers of Attorney or EPAs that been with us for some years. EPAs established up to the end of September 2007 will continue to be valid.

Lasting Powers of Attorney are more involved and you will need to discuss your wishes with us. An estimate of costs would then be provided for you.

Court Of Protection Orders

As part of our Elderly Client services we deal with Court of Protection Orders. In unfortunate cases where it has not been possible to establish a Lasting Power of Attorney or Enduring Power of Attorney because the individual has become too confused, then we will deal with applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a Receiver, Orders for Sale, Receivers yearly accounts and all other necessary matters. The Court of Protection administration is a complex administrative process that we are experienced in.

Residential/Nursing Home Care Issues

If possible longer term care costs need to be considered as part of estate planning. We recommend seeking specialist advice on the options available and financial arrangements. We can provide guidance and assistance in selecting the care that is needed.
