If you have a serious dispute and are considering bringing a court case Simon James, Partner and head of our Litigation Department, will advise you. Wherever possible we will seek to resolve your dispute through negotiation, working closely with you to reach a solution accepted by both sides and aiming to avoid the increased cost of court proceedings.
Alternative dispute resolution /mediation can be a cost effective option and we will always discuss with you the relative merits of this approach in your case. If you decide to resolve a dispute using alternative dispute resolution we will refer you to a mediator or arbitrator known to us.
If court proceedings are necessary we will undertake those proceedings for you.

Costs
We fully understand that you will be concerned about costs. Our aim is to provide you with the highest quality legal service and good value for money. On your enquiry you will receive details of our charge rates and an estimate of the costs involved as soon as possible following the initial interview. Throughout the time that we are dealing with your case we will keep you regularly updated on costs.
We offer an initial appointment for a fixed fee of £60 including VAT. This applies to all initial appointments lasting up to half an hour. At the initial appointment you will be able to explain the circumstances of your case and we will advise you of your options. You can then decide how you would like to proceed with your case.
Simon James will be pleased to discuss any of the above matters with you. In some circumstances a fixed fee consultation or 'No win, no fee' arrangement may be appropriate.
